BDBF attorneys continue to speak to members of the community, young and old, about what they do!
This month, Jeremy Rachlin presented to approximately 20 families at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington. His presentation, “Estate Planning Fundamentals for the Young Family,” explained the basic estate planning documents all parents should have in place. Jeremy gave links to free Maryland and DC resources and answered lots of burning questions.
Also this month, Liz Farley co-presented to the Montgomery County Inn of Court on protective order proceedings in the Maryland District Court. The Montgomery County Inn of Court is a fraternal group of attorneys and judges who gather monthly for dinner and an educational program.
Finally, Burning Tree Elementary School here in Bethesda reached out to the firm to see if any attorneys would be willing to participate in their career day. Dan Shaivitz stepped to the plate and will be explaining to students why we have courts, what lawyers do, and how he helps people who have been hurt in auto accidents. Hopefully, the students will take lessons with them into their teenage years to be safe drivers!
