The Montgomery County Bar Association (the “BAMC”) is the largest local bar association in the State of Maryland. Bulman Dunie is proud that many firm attorneys have been selected by their peers to leadership positions in BAMC for the 2020-2021 term.
Meg Rosan is in the second year of her two-year term as an elected member of the Executive Committee of BAMC. Meg also continues to serve as Co-Chair of the Circuit Court Bench Bar Committee, which brings together attorneys and courthouse personnel, including the Administrative Judge and the Sheriff, to collaborate on Circuit Court operations and serve as the voice for Montgomery County attorneys.
Dan Shaivitz was named by the President of BAMC to serve a three-year term on the Judicial Selections Committee of BAMC, where he will have the very important role of vetting and interviewing Montgomery County judicial candidates to determine which candidates should be endorsed by BAMC to the Maryland Trial Courts Nominating Commission.
Jeremy Rachlin just completed his term as the elected Treasurer of BAMC following four years on the Executive Committee. Jeremy has moved on to serve as Treasurer of the Montgomery County Bar Foundation. Jeremy previously served as Co-Chair of the Circuit Court Bench-Bar Committee and completed multiple three-year terms on the Judicial Selections Committee.
Jared Sands was selected by the Co-Chairs of the BAMC New Practitioner Section to chair monthly Chamber Chats – brown bag (now “Zoom”) chats which bring together judges and attorneys in an informal setting so that attorneys can hear practical tips from the judges on the Montgomery County bench. Jared also is the co-commissioner of the BAMC softball league, which is much harder than it sounds!
Bulman Dunie is committed to serving the Bar and firm attorneys find great satisfaction from the many hours we devote to Bar Association endeavors.
