We are excited to announce the opening of a new practice group at Bulman Dunie: the Mediation Practice Group.
Partner Meg Rosan will lead our new practice area. Meg can assist both represented and unrepresented parties in the negotiation of parenting plans, separation agreements, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, agreements regarding support, and financial settlements. Meg will mediate cases regardless of whether a suit has been filed. Meg can also accept court appointments and consent orders by parties referring matters to mediation. The Mediation Practice Group serves Maryland and District of Columbia clients.
Meg is a highly sought-after family law attorney in the DC area. She has been regularly named as one of the Top 50 female attorneys in Maryland and the District of Columbia, a Super Lawyer in the field of family law, and a top Montgomery County family law attorney by Bethesda Magazine. Meg is a leader in the Montgomery County Bar, having co-chaired the committee developing the Bar’s strategic plan, and co-chairing the Montgomery County Circuit Court Bench Bar Committee. She is a Barrister in the Montgomery County Inn of Court.
Meg has practiced in the family law and personal injury practice groups at Bulman Dunie for over 15 years. Meg has long been a believer in the benefits of mediation to assist her clients in avoiding protracted and costly litigation (and has written previously here about the benefits of mediation). After attending 40 hours of general mediation training through the Maryland State Bar Association, and 40 additional hours of mediation training focused specifically on family law, Meg began serving as a mediator herself in 2019.
The pandemic re-energized Meg’s interest in mediation. Attorneys and clients could never have foreseen the prolonged disruption to court operations resulting from the pandemic, a backlog that still persists to this day. Most contested family law cases are bogged down in delay. The Mediation Practice Group at BDBF will provide families a path forward.
Stay tuned for more information regarding our new practice group, including an updated webpage. In the meantime, if you are interested in engaging Meg for mediation services, do not hesitate to call (301) 656-1177, or email Meg at mrosan@bulmandunie.com.
