Bulman Dunie is thrilled to announce the revival of the firm’s Business and Tax Practice Group, which will be a natural extension of our existing practice areas, and permit us to further serve many of our clients.

The Business and Tax Practice Group is led by Timothy (“Tim”) Canney. Tim joins Bulman Dunie as a Partner with 15+ years of experience advising business owners on everything from startup and choice of entity, business and tax registration, private equity transactions, commercial lease negotiations, vendor contracts, employment and independent contractor agreements, tax planning, succession planning, and sales, mergers, and acquisitions.

“I first practiced with Tim over a dozen years ago at predecessor firms for each of us,” recalls BDBF principal and shareholder Jeremy D. Rachlin.  Says Rachlin, “Tim’s extraordinary professional expertise, blended with his down-to-earth, pragmatic, client-centered approach, fits all of Bulman Dunie’s core values.  I’m thrilled he has chosen to bring his practice to our firm to serve our clients.”

Tim received his undergraduate degree from Providence College and his law degree from the Catholic University Columbus School of Law.  Tim went on to receive an LL.M. (Master of Laws degree) in Tax Law from the Georgetown University Law Center.
